Catch of the Day
This well-fed Kingfisher is holding his next feed while taking a break on the branch of a tree. Kingfishers are a childhood favourite bird of mine and were rare in our local area, so now living on the North Island of New Zealand it is always a beautiful sight to see them much more often around the outer rim of the Tauranga region.
This piece is the second in a line of playful embroidered artwork that I have recently begun doing. The canvas is attached firmly onto a prepared timber surface.
